Thomas: Why do you wear a piece of cloth on your head?
Shah: It’s a turban. Sikh boys and men don’t cut their hair. We wash our hair. We keep
our hair in a clean turban. It’s also a part of our religion.
Thomas: Oh, it sounds interesting.
Shah: Are you hungry? Would you like something to eat? We are vegetarians. How
about some vegetable curry and rice?
Alex & Thomas: Yes, I want to try some.
Shah: Here you are. (Shah gives a bowl of food to the two boys.)
Alex: Mmmm… It’s delicious! Next time I’ll give you some Chinese food to try.

Shah: That’s great! Now let me get the books. (Shah stands up and goes to the
bookshelf.)

Scene 3 Two weeks later, in 6A classroom
Miss Chan: Alex, Thomas and Shah, can you present your project to the class.
Shan: Okay, we will talk about the food pyramid.
Miss Chan: That’s great, please start.

Narrator: The three boys give their presentation. Everyone appreciates their presentation.
Miss Chan: Well done, boys!
