Miss Chan: Good morning, everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. This is
Shah. Miss Chan introduces a new student to the class. He is a new pupil at
the school and I hope you will all give him a warm welcome.
Louis: (Whispering to his friend Thomas) I met him earlier in the playground. He is
10- from India.

Thomas: He likes football. Our football team’s captain invited him to join our team.
Miss Chan: (Turning to Shah) Shah, there is an empty seat next to Louis. You can sit
next to him.
Louis: Hi, Shah, nice to meet you again!
Shah: Hello, Louis. Nice to meet you too. I’m happy to be in the same class as you.
15- Narrator: Miss Chan shows some pictures to the students.
Miss Chan: This week we’re going to do a project about healthy diets. You can talk
about anything that is related to this topic. Louis and Thomas, please work
with Shah.

Louis: Yes, Miss Chan.
Shah: I have some good books about healthy eating at home. Why don’t you come

Scene 2 At Shah’s home
Shah: Hello, Louis and Thomas! Please come in.
Alex & Thomas: Thank you.

Shah: Come and sit down over here. (The three boys sit on the floor.)
Thomas: Why are we sitting on the floor?
Shah: Well, my family believe in Sikhism. We believe that everyone is equal. If we
all sit down together, no one is better than anyone else.
Louis: That’s very interesting!
